I'm just wonder, what the draw is to EGL / EGA or whatever else it's called. (besides the cuteness factor it -can- have)

I know I wouldnt mind owning some of the EGA jackets I've seen on fanplusfriend.com but even I cannot explain my own attraction to the fashion. In fact I've never mentioned it to my friends because I figured they'd say it's weird (weirder than cosplay O_o) until my friend Jeff (the Assassin's Creed guy with me at AN) made a few comments that even he liked some of the stuff that was at M-TaC and AN (and he wasn't referring to the girls in maid outfits Ota :p)

So I'm wondering, anyone got any ideas why the style has so much attraction?

nono, I think it's something that definitely different than normal clothes, and it has elements of nostalgia for historic dress, cuteness, and elegance.

Most people like the look and just won't admit it. It's different and looks hot. But then...maid outfits look hot too....soooo.....

Hmm.....reason why this style has so much attraction you say?
My guesses is that its a popular trend in Japan and its spreading like flies...

[either that or again the style of these outfits has the victoria era looks..{Outfit trends of the past..}

As Vicky would say it has the elements of nostalgia for historic dress, cuteness, and elegance.

Or
Maybe its something that can't be explain and ppl just seem to really like this style of fashion... Then again this style of fashion has so many style that there are so many of them made or bought by ppl....{plus knowing those that makes them are all Original, none of them are the same..} Then again I could be wrong. Well that's all I can think of at the moment, not sure if this helps or not^^
